Annual General Meeting Reminder.

A reminder that our Annual General Meeting, (AGM), is on Wednesday 28th September 2011, at our HQ, doors open at 7.30pm for a prompt 8pm start.
All Members, (Junior, Student, Full, Friend & Patrons), are welcome but please remember that only Full Members can vote.
If you can not attend, please contact Julia Hewett, Secretary, with your apologies. Thank you.
I hope to see as many Members as possible there and remember if you have any questions or queries, then this is your opportunity to have your say.

Singathon Success!

Well done and thank you to all those Members who took part and supported the Fundraising Committee's recent Singathon.
Congratulations to Kerri McCarthy & Val Endean who completed over 17 hours each!
The money raised is currently around £200 but if you have not sponsored us yet, there's still time!
The money raised will go towards improving the Wardrobe and Costumes facilities at our HQ.

Just a quick plee for singers for the singathon tomorrow.
We are meeting by the fountain in Clacton town centre at 10:45am and singing from 11am until 12:30pm in the town. Then we will walk (while singing) to Clacton shopping village where we will sing from 1:30pm until 2:00pm. From there we will go to our Hq and continue to sing until 11am on Sunday.
****We really need to have as many people as possible in town.****

Youth Performers Rehearsals - Time Changes.

Just a reminder that from now until the show, 'BANG!', all the Youth Members will be needed on Fridays from 1900 to 2100. This means both age groups will be rehearsing together so we can work on all the numbers together.
Please also speak to Ashleigh, Hector or Charlie if you need anymore information about the Costumes needed for 'BANG!'

Wedding Singing Rehearsals

Just a reminder for those Members who are going to be singing at the Wedding this coming Saturday.
Julia Clarke would like to get together at 1900 at the HQ on Tuesday and Thursday to go over the numbers.

Provisional 'Pinocchio' Cast *Updated*

Well done to everyone who did an Audition today, the standard was very high. The Casting Committee were especially impressed with the younger Members of the Society. They learnt their lines, movement and songs well and presented themselves very professionally. So well done again.

The Casting Committee have spent over 3 hours talking and deciding who should get what part. The decisions were not easy. If anyone would like any feedback, then please contact Sam McCarthy, 'Pinocchio' Production Team & Casting Committee Chair.

The Casting is Provisional until Tuesday 4Th October 2011. The Casting Committee, in conjunction with the Management Committee, will confirm that they are happy with everyones performance.

'Pinocchio' Auditions - Change of Venue.

The 'Pinocchio' Auditions will now be held at our HQ, times and date as before.


Well done to Keith Goldsbrough for winning 'Best Supporting Actor' for 'Cosmo' for 'Singin' in the Rain' at this evenings NETG Awards Night.

Also Well Done to Edna Mountstephens for winning the 'Jan King' Award, which is given to 'Unsung Heroes' to recognise all the hard work they put in behind the scenes.

Both Cups are available to view at the HQ.

'Pinocchio' Auditions Information

The 'Pinocchio' Audition pieces list is now available on our blog page for you to download. So is the Audition Slip. Please remember that this needs to be in by Thursday 15th September 2011.
The Auditions are on Sunday 18th September 2011 at the Clacton County High School. Principles at 11am and Chorus, Children and Dancers at 2pm.
