TSoM Rehearsal: Sunday 28th April 2013

Nun's Boot Camp is on this Sunday, the 28th April 2013 from 2 to 4pm.

Children are needed from 4 to 5pm please.

Also if any Principles want to go over their numbers, you are welcome to come along at 4pm too.

Mike Hurren

I have some sad news.

Mike Hurren passed away yesterday evening in hospital.

Once details of his funeral are known, I will post them on here.

The Society's thoughts are with Mike's Family at this difficult time.

RIP Mike.

  • 7.30pm - Set Act 2 Scene 1 p. 69-82 including 'My Favourite Things' Reprise, 'No Way To Stop It' and 'Ordinary Couple'.

Also Ray Sharp, Press & Publicity Committee Chairman, will be taking some photos for publicity.

Saxon Theatre Group Quiz Night Saturday 27th April 2013

The Saxon Theatre Group is holding an informal quiz at the McGrigor Hall this Saturday!

Sunday rehearsal - Seussical the Musical

Tomorrows rehearsal - slight change for tomorrow's seussical the musical rehearsal - full company are called in the morning until 12:30 to revise all of act 2 set so far.
Lunch is from 12:30-1:30.
Then we are setting Having a Hunch which the following people are needed in Cat/Chorus/ Jojo/Mayor/ MrsM/Gertrude/Horton/ Thing1&2.

Friday 19th April - Youth Group Arrangements

Friday 19th April - Seussical Rehearsals DON'T START until 7pm due to a 'Time 2 Shine' rehearsal. Nobody will be at the HQ until 7pm so please do NOT drop your child/children off at the HQ until 7pm! That means ALL children will be needed from 7pm-9pm. Unless involved in 'Time 2 Shine' then they will be needed at the West Cliff Theatre from 5:45pm-6:45pm. Thank you.

Important TSoM Information.

Following the Production meeting Wednesday night the Cast needs to know the following information:

  • Books down for Principles for Act 1 is 05.05.13.
  • Books down for Act 2 is 14.05.13.
  • Please ensure you are wearing the correct Rehearsal Clothing. Ladies and Girls must have a skirt. Nuns need a long skirt please.
  • Nun's Boot Camp Sunday 28th April 2013 from 2 to 4pm. Children are needed from 4 to 5pm please. Also if any Principles want to go over their numbers, you are welcome to come along at 4pm too.

 As no one else has auditioned for the Nun we still needed, Jessica Hewett has agreed to play the role as well as Leisl.

Only one Male Chorus Member has auditioned, Rob Guymer, so Jake Collins, Rolf,  has agreed to also be in the Male Chorus.

Due to work commitments, Charlie Vaughan, has had to drop out of the Show.

Channel 4 Documentary

Channel 4 is looking for someone at the top of their field professionally with an extraordinary life story to give us an insight into their world for a new documentary.
The aim is to celebrate unsung heroes with incredible skills whose work has an impact on the lives of people in Britain today and show the human face of challenging or interesting work environments.

Time 2 Shine - CMTS Youth Performers

Clacton Musical Theatre Society Youth Performers have been asked if they would participate in this year's 'Time 2 Shine' at the West Cliff Theatre. The show will be on Saturday 20th April 2013 and it starts at 7:30pm.

The children will be needed on Friday 19th April for a Technical Rehearsal. They will need to be at the West Cliff Theatre at 5:45pm, no later. Please drop your children at the Stage Door nearest St James' Church Hall. They will be met there by a member of the Youth Committee. They will be finished by 6:45pm.

The children will then be needed on Saturday 20th April for the show. They will need to be at the theatre by 4:30pm, so they can be set in the finale with all the other groups that are participating in the show. Again if you could drop your child at the Stage Door nearest St James' Church Hall and somebody from the Youth Committee will meet them again. The show starts at 7:30pm and the children will be expected to stay right through until the end. Running time is estimated to be until 10:00-10:30pm. Please ensure your child has a packed dinner and a drink.

The children will be performing Revolting Children from Matilda and Count on Me by Bruno Mars. They will need to supply their own costumes for this, for Revolting Children they will need to wear a school uniform, their own one is fine. For Count on Me they will need to wear party clothes. The costumes need to be taken to the theatre on Friday 19th April.

We need to know as soon as possible if your child is able to participate so we know how many children we will have. Please contact Ashleigh Masters if you are going to participate.

PLEASE NOTE: THE SEUSSICAL the MUSICAL REHEARSAL ON FRIDAY 19TH APRIL WILL START AT 7:30PM - 9:00PM. IT WILL NOT BE CANCELLED.

Social Committee Film Night tomorrow!!

The Sound of Music: Re-Audition for the part of the Butler Franz

Due to work commitments, Charlie Vaughan, has had to drop out of the Show.

Therefore, we will be holding Auditions this coming Tuesday, the 9th April, at 7pm.
