Harwich Festival of the Arts – 25 June – 6 July

Strong currents – this year’s festival has a sense of journey, movement, change and progression. From the grand opening gesture of Mauricio Kagel’s ‘Eine Brise’ in which 111 noisy cyclists speed through the town setting it to music with bells and whistles, to the more intimate event in which poet Simon Armitage describes his 265 mile walk along the Pennine Way as a modern day troubadour, it’s a festival that will lead you down some fresh and striking paths and where strongly-etched, contrasting strands jostle each other like currents in the sea.  Tel: 07971 041076
